Guest Speaker: Dr. Lynnette Mawhinney

Dr. Lynnette Mawhinney, Associate Professor at the UIC College of Education Department of Curriculum and Instruction. As a seasoned educator, she has taught diverse populations ranging from urban educational contexts, including middle school, high school, undergraduate, graduate, GED, and employment training programs.
This workshop will focus on what microaggressions are, how to tell your story, and how to find advocacy when microaggressions occur.
