From Joshua’s home…
In light of all that is new and so far from normal, the RCADD team has been conducting remote consultations over the phone and online. While educators work tirelessly to implement a curriculum that addresses their students’ IEP goals, families are in need of behavioral supports and structured activities for daily living. In recognition of the essential worker’s importance and all that they do to keep society running, RCADD’s staff has created and disseminated health and safety visual supports to best identify the current COVID-19 preventative measures. These tools should help safeguard your family and home from the uncertainty and inconsistency which we are all coping with.
From the homes of those we serve…
“I finally was able to virtually meet with parents and my diverse learning students. I read the social story I downloaded from the RCADD website. It allowed us time to talk about distance learning and how parents and students are feeling. Thank you for sharing it in both English and Spanish, my classroom has a combination of parents who need both.”
“My special moment with my son is when it’s our learning time one on one. He absolutely loves the hungry caterpillar. RCADD helped me make a caterpillar number 1-20 & we call it the hungry caterpillar. He needs help to put the numbers in order and as he eats he gets fuller. My son LOVES that we can choose from three colors to work with each time. Thank you RCADD because I have gotten so many resources that help me with my little one.”
“You have been an extreme blessing in a time where pandemonium is everywhere.
I have zero doubt in my mind my students and clinical team will love and adore your incredible work. May God continue to bless you and your family. Please continue to remain safe and healthy.”
