At the UIC Center for Literacy, the Professional Development in Family Engagement team provides continued education programs to family services workers and parents. A key part of this work is the Family Engagement Professional Learning Network (FEPLN) which provides coaching and professional learning opportunities for Chicago Early Learning Providers. In addition, the PDFE team seeks to remove barriers to CFL student success by providing strength-based, wraparound services to adult learners including case management supportive services in English and Spanish.
