Since the beginning, the foundation of the Center for Literacy’s success has been wide array of community partners. Organizations serving our communities can partner with the CFL to provide many services, including:
- Table at a community event
- Provide custom workshops to both employees and participants
- Advocate for a new partnership
- Tap into CFL’s wide array of workshops, classes, and services
- Disseminate resources
Next Steps: Creating a Partnership
The Center for Literacy categorizes partnerships into two different groups based on type and funding source. Use the information below to identify your potential partnership category. All potential partners should use this form to notify the CFL’s Community Engagement team of their interest.
– Department of Family and Support Services Partnerships are made directly through Juanita Harris. These sites are exclusively organizations that are funded by DFSS, and have access to all programs CFL offers. These partnership agreements are updated once a year, starting in September. Questions? – Community Partnerships are made directly thorough Shilanda Hall. These sites are not funded by the Department of Family and Support Services, and have a direct relationship with one program within CFL. Questions? Email the CFL Team at cflpartnershipsgreements@uic.edu
